My name is Kate Renee and I am an acrylic painter from Minneapolis, MN. I create work that is edgy with a veneer of cute to talk about political, social, feminist and cultural topics. My most recent series was called, Beauties Behaving Badly, which showcased the true story behind some of our most beloved fairy tale princesses. Since then my paintings has developed from the twisted princesses into a new three dimensional painting series based on the seven deadly sins. This work which was most recently featured in Minnesota Monthly, will be exhibiting at Gamut Gallery in 2016. I
am attending to learn more about the other artists, creatives and feminists who are in the Twin Cities looking for a greater sense of community. I am looking forward to a great conversation from this experience.
