Bachelor Party

As you might imagine, a group of young Bostonians looking to have a bachelor party would not be every vacation home owners ideal renters.   I took a chance and I  was rewarded (or paid back for my good karma ; / 0).

As indicated below, a good time was had by all.  I even ended up with a lovely abstract expressionist painting which will be installed in the downstairs studio as soon as I get a frame on it!

BAch paintingJonathan Leung: GREAT property! Rented in late May and the weather was gorgeous. I woke up to amazing views every morning overlooking the ocean. Campfires right on the beach. Nicely secluded but not far from amenities if needed. There are some neighbors nearby but are very friendly and respectful. I was able to rent the property off season which I highly recommend. No crowds on the beach and peaceful, not to mention that Acadia national park is within an hour drive and avoiding the crowds there was key. Barbara was very pleasant to deal with and flexible when staying only for the weekend. She does stay in the detached garage next door sometimes (depends on time of season) but respects your space if you are looking for more privacy. It was not a concern and did not impact the stay at all. She is very responsive and is easily reached by email or phone. The house exceeded my expectations in layout and comfort. There were plenty of beds and space for 12 grown men. There were plenty of cooking supplies including a GIANT 6 burner grill and lobster pot. The art if very interesting and adds a unique ambiance to the stay. I keep thinking I shouldn’t write this review and keep this gem hidden for myself but that wouldn’t be fair 😉 Will definitely be renting again. Highly recommended! THANKS BARBARA!!!

My Response
I was hesitant to rent my cottage to a group of Bostonian Bachelors but these young men gave me hope for the future! I had a hard time not asking for mom names so I could compliment them on their fine work. They left the cottage just as they found it. Bring on the wedding parties!
